Senior Project Engineer

·         Project Engineer for more than a dozen projects over 5 years, cumulative contract value over $150M. Compression and pump projects in Mexico and US, both onshore and offshore. 

·         Actively involved in Proposal support for Business Management. Coordinate engineering activities to develop proposal drawings, equipment costs, man-hour estimates, and engineering schedules.

·         Frequent travel to Mexico supporting Business Management technically throughout both the proposal and project phases. Typical meetings include proposal review, kick-off meetings, and design reviews often with contractors, clients, and other divisions of Solar Turbines.

·         Led design and engineering team of 10 for a Centaur 40 turnkey compressor station in Waller, Texas for Atmos Energy. Project included slug catcher, inlet filter/separator, fuel gas treatment skid, MCC building, standby diesel generator, air-cooled heat exchanger, BOP piping and controls.  Project completed successfully and has been used to demonstrate the capabilities of our office.

·         Developed successful proposals and then led the design and engineering to fabricate more than 30 skids for Caterpillar Global in compression applications.

·         Developed proposals for integrally geared centrifugal compressor packages in process gas and air separation applications. Responsible for equipment selection, development of cost estimates; recommended pricing; compressor performance; specification comments.

·         Coordinated proposal effort between offices in Germany and New York for a refrigeration compressor for a LNG facility; project was awarded and handed off successfully.

·         Lead proposal engineer for development of an 1100 MW combined cycle plant in North Carolina. Preparation of equipment specifications, and equipment list. Led proposal development including process flow diagrams, P&IDs, general arrangement drawings, and statement of work.

·         Provided engineering support reviewing critical pipe supports for an 820 MW combined cycle power plant in Sterlington Louisiana; plant was commissioned successfully and turned over to the client.

·         Developed project specifications and selected mechanical equipment for a 19 MW cogeneration facility for Chevron in Belle Chase, Louisiana; turnkey project completed profitably. 

·         Specified controls, instrumentation, and mechanical equipment for a Taurus 70 power generation installation for NYSEG in New York State. Successfully coordinated the fuel gas compressor start-up and commissioning with client and compressor manufacturer on site.

·         Specification of Compressor Suction Scrubbers; fuel gas treatment skids; and the balance of plant mechanical equipment for a 130-mmscfd expansion to the Williams Kern River natural gas pipeline. New Installation of Compressor stations at Daggett California, Veyo Utah, and Elberta Utah.

·         Coordinated engineering activities for API 618 reciprocating compressor packages from proposal, project and commissioning phases. 

·         Approved P&IDs and General Arrangement drawings. Created specifications and datasheets to procure ASME section VIII pressure vessels, heat exchangers, pumps, valves, and instrumentation.

·         Developed proposal and led engineering effort for CO2 compressor packages for Phillip Morris. Selected mechanical equipment, and coordinated the package engineering on schedule.

·         Performed detailed engineering for a CO2 compressor package for Howe Baker from the proposal phase through equipment warranty period; project was completed profitably.
